## 3.31 Kapten

Appointment, the replacement captain, the armband and the captain's responsibilities.

### Test 1: The captain: appointment, armband and responsibilities

- One player of each team must be appointed as captain. (Allikas: FIH Rules 2027, Rule 3.1)
- When a captain is suspended, a replacement captain must be appointed. (Allikas: FIH Rules 2027, Rule 3.2)
- Captains wear a distinctive arm-band or similar distinguishing article. (Allikas: FIH Rules 2027, Rule 3.3)
- Captains are responsible for the behaviour of all players on their team. (Allikas: FIH Rules 2027, Rule 3.4)
- Captains must also make sure that substitutions of their team are carried out correctly. (Allikas: FIH Rules 2027, Rule 3.4)
- A personal penalty is awarded if a captain does not exercise these responsibilities. (Allikas: FIH Rules 2027, Rule 3.4)
- Normally a second card must be a higher one, but cards for a team offence, such as under Rule 3.4, are left out of that count, so a second green card is possible. (Allikas: FIH Rules 2027, Rules 3.4, 14.1)
- The arm-band or similar article goes on an upper arm or shoulder, or over the upper part of a sock. (Allikas: FIH Rules 2027, Rule 3.3)
- A suspended captain must be replaced as captain, and the new captain must be recognisable. (Allikas: FIH Rules 2027, Rules 3.2, 3.3)
- From the top: shoulder, then upper arm, then the sock, lowest of the three. (Allikas: FIH Rules 2027, Rule 3.3)
