### Test 1: What a block is and who may block

- Players close to the net intercept the ball coming from the opponents by reaching higher than the top of the net. (Source: FIVB OVR 2025-2028, Rule 14.1.1)
- Only front-row players may complete a block, with part of the body above the top of the net at contact. (Source: FIVB OVR 2025-2028, Rule 14.1.1)
- A block attempt is the action of blocking without contact with the ball. (Source: FIVB OVR 2025-2028, Rule 14.1.2)
- A block is completed whenever the ball is touched by a blocker. (Source: FIVB OVR 2025-2028, Rule 14.1.3)
- Two or three players close to each other form a collective block, completed when one of them touches the ball. (Source: FIVB OVR 2025-2028, Rule 14.1.4)

- Blocking means reaching above the net; it is completed when a blocker touches the ball. (Source: FIVB OVR 2025-2028, Rule 14.1)
