Cricket · Level 10: Professional · Sub-level 10.2

The franchise circuit

5 tests · 50 facts · updated 12 October 2026 · markdown

This sub-level teaches the Twenty20 franchise leagues that now shape the professional calendar — the Indian Premier League, its history since 2008, the mega-auction, retention and the salary cap; the Big Bash League and Australia's summer window; the Pakistan Super League, SA20 and the ILT20; The Hundred and England's format; the Caribbean Premier League and Major League Cricket; and how the league windows are fitted around the international schedule.

Each test below is ten questions on Insporta. The list under a test is what the questions check: one fact per question, with the source it was written from. Read it before the test, or come back from a wrong answer.

Source: ECB, on the English domestic season · recall
