Insporta’s golf Rules series takes the Rules of Golf, effective January 2023, one Rule at a time. Each Rule has its own guide, split into parts and tests, and each guide sets out what the Rule covers: the game and the player’s conduct, the ball in play, and the penalties that follow a breach.

What the series covers

The series runs from Rule 1 (The Game, Player Conduct and the Rules) to Rule 25 (Modifications for Players with Disabilities), in the order of the published text.

The facts are written in original wording from the Rules, not reproduced from them, and each one carries an explanation. For the exact wording of a Rule, read the Rules of Golf published by The R&A and the USGA.
