Law 2: The Ball

2 parts · 10 tests · 100 facts · updated 12 October 2026 · markdown

Law 2 governs the futsal match ball: its required qualities and measurements (shape, material, circumference, weight, pressure and the bounce test), the FIFA Quality Programme, advertising on the ball, replacement of a defective ball, additional and extra balls, and a goal scored off a defective ball.

2.21Ball qualities, measurements and advertising

The futsal ball's required shape, material, circumference, weight and pressure, the bounce test and the FIFA Quality Programme, the rules on commercial advertising on the ball, and how these two subsections of Law 2 relate to each other.

Test 1Shape, material and required measurementsTake a test

  1. Law 2 requires the ball to be spherical and made of a suitable material.
