3 parts · 15 tests · 150 facts · updated 12 October 2026 · markdown
Law 37 sets out how either batter is out Obstructing the field (a wilful obstruction or distraction of the fielding side by word or action, or the striker wilfully striking the ball with a hand not holding the bat), when he is not out (accidental, to avoid injury, a lawful guarding stroke), obstructing a ball from being caught, returning the ball to a fielder without consent, the runs scored and that the bowler gets no credit.
