Luku 9 tarkastelee maahockeyn taustalla olevaa liiketoimintaa ja yleisöjä: paitamainostajia, franchising-sarjoja, palkintorahoja ja vuoden 1986 miesten MM-kilpailujen järjestelyjä. Suuri osa koskee Intian hockeyta, mutta mukana ovat myös Irlannin MM-taival ja FIH Pro League.
