9. peatükk vaatleb maahoki taga olevat äri ja publikut: särgisponsorid, frantsiisiliigad, auhinnaraha ning 1986. aasta meeste maailmameistrivõistluste korraldus. Suur osa sellest puudutab India hokit, kuid see ulatub ka Iirimaa maailmameistrivõistluste teekonnani ja FIH Pro League'ini.

Odishast sai India koondiste sponsor 2018. aasta veebruaris ja hiljem pikendas ta lepingut aastani 2033. Osariigi kabinet kiitis pikendamise heaks 2023. aasta aprillis pärast seda, kui India mehed olid võitnud pronksi, oma esimese medali 41 aasta jooksul. Hockey India League kestis viis hooaega, peatus seitsmeks aastaks ja naasis 2024.–25. aastal naiste võistkondadega.
