抗議の後、審議委員会は結果を修正できますが、消化したペナルティのタイムを最終タイムから差し引くことはできません。消化されなかったペナルティは失格に至り、その場合、審議委員会は抗議を認め、ペナルティを取り消し、失格を覆すことができます（3.9 d）。
