1. One player of each team must be appointed as captain.

3. Captains wear a distinctive arm-band or similar distinguishing article.

4. Captains are responsible for the behaviour of all players on their team.

5. Captains must also make sure that substitutions of their team are carried out correctly.

6. A personal penalty is awarded if a captain does not exercise these responsibilities.

7. Normally a second card must be a higher one, but cards for a team offence, such as under Rule 3.4, are left out of that count, so a second green card is possible.

8. The arm-band or similar article goes on an upper arm or shoulder, or over the upper part of a sock.
